Senior Citizens Center

The Senior Center

line

The Fultondale Senior Center opened in 2001. The Center is open to all seniors in Jefferson County 60 years and older or a spouse of someone 60+. People over 55 can participate in the activities but are not eligible for the nutrition program.

The senior can enjoy the sunroom adjacent to the dinning hall, where there is plenty of sunshine, hot coffee, and iced tea for everyone. Reminiscing with old friends and making new friends is what we are all about.

There are plenty of activities for you to enjoy. We have cards, dominoes, puzzles, bingo, family feud, breakfast once a month and educational speakers. Some of the activities we have enjoyed including painting, cake decorating, candle making, pebble art, jewelry art, pour painting, and bead class.

A monthly activities and meal menu is planned each month and given to the participants. Extra activities are held throughout the year, such as holiday parties, themed days, birthday parties, and weather permitting lunch on the porch. We have evening activities scheduled to include potluck suppers, game nights, ice cream socials, and band night.

Lunch is served daily at noon, but we ask that you be signed in by 11:30am. Lunch is pre-ordered for monthly participants.

The Fultondale Senior Center Director and staff are dedicated to serve our seniors and make the time they spend with us enjoyable.
